Coaching & Development
Built individualized development plans rather than a single standard program, adjusting for each athlete's level and goals.
Set accountability structures through progression tracking and standards to manage such a large team.
Ran video review after each run (if necessary) for immediate feedback and visuals.
Session reviews covered the day as a whole, mentality expectations, and highlighting good performances.
Extreme emphasis on mindset, barriers, and fostering a positive sense of self
Team & Program Management
Managed the practical realities of a 90–115 person roster. Scheduling, communication, and athletes graduating created many moving pieces.
Coordinated with assistant coaches and school athletics staff to run the program day to day (getting athletes to/from the mountain or competition, how many people could attend any given day, working around athlete academic schedules, etc.)
Built consistency into a program that has to rebuild part of its roster every year
